Dream Weaver

Song by Gary Wright

Close your eyes and follow me, I will take you on
a trip you see. Just you and me, let's see, where
shall we go, you want to go to someplace warm or
someplace with snow, or you prefer the dark of
night with stars all twinkling bright.

Shall we walk along the country road made of dirt
and sown with years of hard sweat and tears. The
evening shadows lurking ahead. Run if you dare,
ha, for if you don't, the ghost tree branches
hanging there might scoop you up in one big swing,
and never let you out again.

Passing by the moonlit road, follow onward to the
bend in the road, is a fork there you see, a path
for us, you and me, and here is where we shall
have to decide which one to follow. Shall we take
the right path, as it goes right, maybe it is the
right one? smile, or if we choose the left,it
seems long and dark. No we shall not wonder to the
left, and if we continue on straight, bound down
the path, we might find that there are many
forks
along the way, and at each we shall have
to decide the same.

Shall we take the straight or narrow path, the
moonlit one or the one hidden in darkness, our
curiosity wanting to know what lies beyond or
shall we stick to the one that we know is safe and
we will come of no harm. Stay. Here in our steady
little world and never leave it, for if we do we
might find we did not like what is on the other
side. Maybe we might step off for a moment, but
quickly we run to follow the others, for we dare
not get lost here. Step into here, and we may
never come back to the other side

There is a vast window in the plains, did you know
if you should step through there you may find that
all your answers lie beyond, but also know that to
look back in, it takes a key you see, and that
key... is honesty and truth.
